I am really happy with my purchase. I had never heard of Jennifer Taylor Home before, so I was a bit nervous about what to expect, but the bed exceeds my expectations. The fabric is soft, the bed is solid - metal and real wood structure and supports. Since putting it together there has been zero noise - no creaking or anything, it's very solid. Putting it together was straightforward, and there were two of us, which made it a lot easier. I could have managed alone, but it would have taken a lot longer and maybe some boxes to prop things up on as you connect them. The instructions are pretty clear, though I recommend reading all the way through, as I did install the center rail upside down initially. Not a big deal, but if I'd looked ahead to the next page/step, it would have been obvious which side went up. There is a slight gap around the mattress, but that's intentional/useful so when you add blankets, the gap makes it easy to tuck them in for a nice tailored look when the bed is made. The fabric itself is a nice soft grey, but not a solid/flat look, it has a mottled or tweedy appearance which looks really nice and allows it to blend well with different colors of bedding.
